APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Thousands of surveys will be mailed to Appleton residents seeking feedback on its police department.
Over the next few weeks, 2,000 surveys will be mailed to random residents asking questions that are pertinent to the current issues law enforcement is facing.
Questions may include:
- Should we reduce funding to the police department, and reallocate or eliminate services?
- Do you feel we are working hard enough at racial justice and equality?
- Do you feel our school resource officer program is valuable for our schools and community?
The Appleton Police Department says its goal is to provide excellence in police service.
The surveys will include a stamped return envelope. If you were selected to complete the survey, police ask you think carefully about your responses and return the survey.
The results will be released through the Police Chief’s Community Advisory Committee when they are completed.
