WAUKEGAN, IL (WTAQ) — The teen gunman facing charges for killing two and injuring another during violent protests in Kenosha Wisconsin last month faces an extradition hearing today.
Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, is expected in court in Lake County, Illinois a month after being arrested following violent protests in Kenosha.
His defense team says the shootings were in self defense and that video taken of the shootings proves it.
Rittenhouse was a counter-demonstrator during riots in Kenosha over the shooting of Jacob Blake by Kenosha police.
