MARINETTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Elevated levels of PFAS have been found in a ditch downstream of JCI/Tyco in Marinette.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says sample results from surface water were collected about 10 feet downstream of two ditch treatment systems.
The DNR and JCI/Tyco have agreed to meet as necessary to discuss the technology center’s plans to treat the contamination, according to a news release.
More information and the next steps will be provided at a listening session on Sept. 16, the DNR says.
