OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI (WLUK) – Beginning Monday, July 13th, Outagamie County will require employees, volunteers and members of the public to wear face masks at county property or in certain work situations to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
The county executive’s office says workers and volunteers will be required to wear face masks at county facilities, on county grounds or in other places where services are delivered — including home visits. Those who are in solo work spaces or in outdoor spaces where workers are separated by at least six feet will not have to wear masks.
In a new release, County Executive Tom Nelson, it’s an important time in the fight against COVID 19.
“We’re seeing more positive cases in Wisconsin, not fewer,” County Executive Tom Nelson said in a news release. “We owe it to our people and to the public to reduce infection.”
Anyone moving through a public area of a county facility will be required to wear a face covering. Those who visit the county’s downtown Appleton campus will be provided with a face mask. Anyone who refuses to wear it will not be allowed to enter.
