LOMIRA, WI (WLUK) – A Fond du Lac man was injured while golfing as the result of an accidental shooting Monday morning.
According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, the 80-year-old man was golfing at The Golf Club at Camelot when he was struck by a bullet, which was fired by a man attempting to shoot a woodchuck on his property.
The bullet ricocheted off some trees, then struck the man, according to the sheriff’s office.
The man was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury. He was treated and is expected to be released.
The incident remains under investigation.
