FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man drowned in the Fond du Lac River Thursday.
Crews were called to the river just before 6 p.m. Thursday, near the Johnson St. Bridge.
Fond du Lac Fire says the 37 year-old man was was attempting to swim across when he was swept under.
A bystander jumped in to try and help the man but turned around due to the current.
