Oshkosh Police say the man has been cleared of any wrongdoing and released without charges.
Investigators say video surveillance from a nearby home shows the van never stopped to make contact with the girl.

Oshkosh police say they’ve located the person who approached a child in a suspicious van Thursday afternoon.
Officers say the child was walking their dog on East Murdock Avenue near Cliffview Drive around 5:45 pm.
The white van, pictured above, stopped, and the driver told the juvenile to get in.
The child ran home and was unharmed in the incident. The van drove off east on East Murdock Avenue.
No further information has been released.
