The Milwaukee Brewers are getting a good look at possible starters for the future as the seasons winds to a close. Zach Davies could well be one of the newcomers to the rotation as he along with two relievers shut out the San Diego Padres at Petco Park Wednesday night 5-0. Davies (3-2) allowed five hits in seven scoreless innings in his third straight quality start. Milwaukee scored all five runs in the 6th off Andrew Cashman (6-16) as Hernan Perez and Martin Maldanado delivered two run singles. The Brewers play their final road game of the season Monday evening in San Diego with Taylor Jungman facing Ian Kennedy. Pre-Game coverage begins at 5:05 PM on WTAQ. The Brewers finish the season hosting the Chicago Cubs in a three game series at Miller Park. Milwaukee (68-90) will wind up in 4th in the NL Central with Cincinnati losing to the Cubs Wednesday, guaranteeing a last place division finish.
