GRAND CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The Green Bay Packers #1 draft pick will show off his softball skills this week.
Officials announce wide receiver Matthew Golden is on the roster for the Green Bay Charity Softball Game Friday at Fox Cities Stadium. The event is hosted by quarterback Jordan Love.
It will be Golden’s first public appearance with fans since Green Bay selected him with the 23rd overall pick in last month’s draft. He is the first receiver the team has drafted in the first round since taking Javon Walker in 2002.
Among the other players joining Love and Golden in the charity softball game are tight end Tucker Kraft, Super Bowl champion cornerback Jarrett Bush, quarterbacks Malik Willis and Sean Clifford, safety Evan Williams, guard Donovan Jennings and cornerback Tyron Herring.
Green Bay legend and “Dancing with the Stars” champion Donald Driver, who hosted the game for several years, will also be at the game and will be interacting with fans.
The event will raise money for Love’s Hands of 10ve Foundation.
Tickets for the softball game are $80 for a premium box seat (first two rows), $55 for a standard box seat, $35 for a reserved bleacher seat, and $15 for a general admission grass seat. There are also a limited number of patio tables – which seat four – available at $300.
Tickets can be purchased online, at (920) 733-4152, or in person at the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Box Office.
The schedule for the event is as follows:
- Parking lot opens: 4 p.m.
- Stadium gates open: 5 p.m.
- Home run derby: 6 p.m.
- Softball game starts: 7:05 p.m.
