FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two people were arrested after a traffic stop in the city of Fond du Lac led to the discovery of various drugs and paraphernalia.
Around 7:45 p.m. Nov. 25, a deputy with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the area of Pioneer Road and South Main Street.
K9 Iro was deployed and indicated a positive alert for the presence of illegal narcotics. When deputies searched the vehicle, they found:
- Nine crack pipes
- 11 push rods
- A scale with cocaine residue
- Bowls with crack cocaine residue
- Glass beakers containing a white residue inside, believed to be used to manufacture “crack” cocaine
- Other articles related to drug paraphernalia
- Loaded black .380 handgun with a chambered round
Driving the vehicle was a 39-year-old Fond du Lac woman. Her passenger was a 39-year-old Fond du Lac man. Neither occupant had a concealed carry license.
The woman has no known criminal history, but the man has felony convictions dating back to 2011 involving firearms and narcotics-related crimes. At the time of the traffic stop, he was on supervision through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
Both of the vehicle’s occupants were arrested and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail. Just before arriving, the woman confessed she had a “large amount” of cocaine concealed inside of her. Jail staff recovered approximately 28 grams of cocaine from her person.
The woman is facing charges of carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and maintaining a drug trafficking place. She posted a $500 cash bond.
The man is facing charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, maintaining a drug trafficking place, felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation. He remains in custody on a $3,000 cash bond and probation violation.
