APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Appleton launched its new website designed to provide faster and more streamlined access to city resources.
The redesigned site features enhanced navigation, mobile responsiveness, advanced search capabilities, and a refreshed design to better serve residents, visitors, and businesses.
“The launch of our new website is a significant step forward in making city resources more accessible and user-friendly for everyone in Appleton,” said Anindita Anaam, Communications and Public Engagement Manager. “We’re excited to provide a platform that helps residents and businesses easily find the information they need, when they need it.”
The new site incorporates several updates:
- ADA-Compliant Accessibility: Optimized colors, layouts, and content ensure that the website meets ADA standards, providing accessibility for all users.
- Interactive Landing Page: A dynamic video banner sets a welcoming tone and highlights the vibrancy of Appleton.
- Easy as 1-2-3 Navigation: A new feature that allows users to access major city services in three clicks or less, simplifying information retrieval.
- Quick Access Buttons: Four prominent homepage buttons direct users to essential city services like bill payment, public safety updates, property information, and meeting agendas.
- Mobile-Responsive Experience: The site delivers a consistent experience across all devices, eliminating the need for additional app downloads.
The new website is now live at appletonwi.gov, replacing the former appleton.org domain. While the new site is live, the previous website will remain active until December 31, 2024, to ensure a smooth transition for users.
