(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – The Green Bay Packers are preparing for a Thursday night showdown with the Miami Dolphins and once the game is over, there will be no time off the team.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said that will be the case because they need to start preparing for playing the Detroit Lions a week from Thursday.
LaFleur take more on the turn-around for his players.
LaFleur also talked about game planning from week to week.
Running the ball: The Packers, despite having a prolific passer in Jordan Love, have found a great deal of success while running the ball.
Green Bay is currently fourth in the league in rushing with 1,668 yards. They are averaging 4.8 yards a carry.
LaFleur talked about running the ball more this season.
Green Bay wouldn’t be able to successfully run the ball, if not for the solid play of the Packers offensive line, according to LaFleur.
The Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders are the only teams to rush for more yards than the Packers this season.
Injuries: The Packers may be without a pair of linebackers – Edgerin Cooper and Isaiah McDuffie – Thursday against Miami.
If the duo can’t go, LaFleur said that it could mean more snaps for Ty’Ron Hopper.
Other Packers who missed Tuesday’s practice included Romeo Doubs, Jaire Alexander, Xavier McKinney and John FitzPatrick.
