(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – It’s the annual renewal of one of the NFL’s most storied rivalries when the Chicago Bears host the Green Bay Packers at noon on Sunday at Soldier Field in Chicago.
Packers safety Evan Williams said that he’s had an opportunity to get educated on this rivalry.
Beyond that, Williams talked about facing a struggling quarterback in Bears rookie Caleb Williams.
Williams also talked about facing a Bears team with a new offensive co-ordinator.
The Bears fired offensive co-ordinator Shane Waldron after last Sunday’s game against New England when the Bears scored only 3 points, replacing him with passing game co-ordinator Thomas Brown.
Overall, Williams thinks the Packers are in a good spot entering the second half.
Wide receiver Christian Watson also thinks the Packers are in a good spot and talked about the team’s ability to turn it on in the second half of the season. He said that that is a credit to everybody.
But Watson cautioned that there is still a lot of football to be played and that he’s not thinking about playoff positioning yet.
Watson said that the team has a lot to play for this week
The Packers enter Sunday’s game with a 6-3 record, 1 game behind the Minnesota Vikings and 2 behind the first-place Detroit Lions.
The Bears are 4-5.
