(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – The Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team made its debut on Wednesday night at the Kohl Center in Madison and came away with a 78-62 win over UW-River Falls.
Newcomer John Tonje led the Badgers with 15 points, while Steven Crowl added 14 and Carter Gilmore hit three 3’s for 9 points off the bench in the Badger victory.
Badgers coach Greg Grad talked about his team in the exhibition win.
Tonje said that preseason games help.
Carter Gilmore was asked if this team is going to shoot a lot of 3’s.
Wisconsin hit just 11 of 32 from three-point range.
Steven Crowl said that its probably going to take a little while for the players to adjust to one another.

The Badgers open the regular season on Monday with a game against Holy Cross.
