(LEARFIELD) – Bucks co-owner Wes Edens welcomes the idea of a new WNBA franchise being located in Milwaukee.
Edens isn’t part of a group submitting a bid to the women’s professional basketball league.
No timeline for a final decision has been announced and the Milwaukee group is just one of 10 indicating interest.
A report in the Journal Sentinel points out that Wisconsin’s largest city has a history with women’s basketball dating back almost 45 years to the Does who played in the Women’s Professional Basketball League.
