(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – One of the Packers rookies who is stepping up is safety Evan Williams.
On Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, Williams had 4 tackles including 1 for a loss and a forced fumble.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur talked about the play of rookie safety Evan Williams.
Williams likes being noticed but he said it’s all about the defense feeding off one-another.
The Packers recovered 3 fumbles by Arizona on Sunday and LaFleur talked about what’s led to their take/away success.
Defensive tackle Kenny Clark said the team is going after take/aways.
Another rookie who is making an impact is linebacker Edgerin Cooper who had 7 tackles against Arizona.

Packers add a tackle: The Green Bay Packers have signed T Spencer Rolland to the practice squad. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction Tuesday.
Rolland (6-6, 306), was originally signed by the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of the University of North Carolina on May 10, 2024, but was released after training camp. He started his college career at Harvard (2018-21) before playing his final two years for the Tar Heels (2022-23). He started all 43 games he played in during college. Last season, Rolland blocked for an offense that averaged 299.2 yards passing per game (No. 14 in NCAA and No. 1 in ACC), 192.1 yards rushing per game (No. 19 in NCAA and No. 3 in ACC), 491.2 total yards per game (No. 7 in NCAA and No. 1 in ACC) and 34.5 points per game (No. 20 in NCAA and No. 2 ACC), and blocked for the nation’s fifth-leading rusher, Omarion Hampton, who ran for 1,504 yards. Rolland earned All-ACC honorable mention in 2023 and first-team All-Ivy League honors in 2021.
