GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Former Green Bay Area Public School District Superintendent, Dr. Claude Tiller Jr., has accepted a new position.
According to a report from Atlanta Daily World, Dr. Tiller is the new superintendent of the RISE Schools in East Point, Georgia, effective immediately.
RISE is a free public charter school network in East Point, Georgia. It runs a grammar school for kindergarten through fifth grade and a prep school for sixth through eighth grade.
On Facebook, the RISE schools quotes Dr. Tiller saying “Under my leadership, we will continue to foster a balance between academics and the social and emotional well-being of all students, ensuring that our students are equipped to be the catalysts for positive change both in their lives and in the global society.”
Tiller served less than a year as the superintendent of the Green Bay Area Public School District. He was placed on administrative leave and later resigned in February after a district investigation into comments he made while appearing on an Atlanta-based radio show.
