MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-METRO) – The city’s school board last night voted to accept Superintendent James Feil’s resignation.
Feil was on the job for less than a year. He angered some parents earlier this year when he suggested that Manitowoc Schools end their free lunch for all program. He wanted to go back to the way things were before the coronavirus, but ultimately changed his mind after parent backlash.
Feil said he wants to spend more time with his family and find new challenges.
Manitowoc Schools say they will start their search for a new superintendent immediately.
