TOWN OF HUBBARD, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A pilot leaving EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh was forced to make an emergency landing in a Dodge County field on Sunday morning.
Around 8:30 Sunday morning, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a plane that was flying low and having engine problems.
It happened around near Raasch Hill Road and County Highway TW in the town of Hubbard.
When officers arrived, they found two airplanes in a farm field.
The pilot of the disabled plane was identified as a 28-year-old male from the state of Georgia.
He told law enforcement that he was losing power to his single-engine aircraft forcing him to make an emergency landing in the farm field as he could not make it to an airport.
The second plane on the scene was traveling with the disabled plane and landed in the field to check on the pilot.
Both planes were on their way back from the EAA show in Oshkosh.
There were no injuries or property damage during this emergency landing.
