GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The man who allegedly drove Sienna Pecore away from the fatal traffic crash she caused was charged Wednesday for his role in what happened after the crash.
Pecore was 15 at the time of the Oct. 30, 2022, crash on West Mason Street which killed Cruz Beltron. She had taken her mother’s car without permission and was driving more than 100 mph just before the crash. She was sentenced to nine years in prison.
Rezhun Scott, 22, was charged with being party to hit and run involving death, harboring a felon, and second-degree recklessly endangering safety. Scott made his initial court appearance Wednesday, where a $15,000 cash bond was set. He returns to court July 26 for a preliminary hearing.
According to the criminal complaint, Scott was driving separately from Pecore. After the crash, Rezhun drove her to his apartment, where she stayed the night. He’s identified in the complaint as her boyfriend at the time.
Scott told police he saw the crash, and that he and others tried to help Beltron.
