(WTAQ-WLUK) — A Peshtigo man has been charged with multiple counts of possession of child pornography, Marinette County’s district attorney announced Tuesday.
Officials say Brett Mandli was arrested June 18 after authorities executed a search warrant at his home and found child pornography images on a device belonging to Mandli.
He appeared in court Tuesday for a bail hearing, where a $10,000 cash bond with various conditions — including no contact with minors — was set.
According to the criminal complaint, the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office received information from the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office that suspected child sexual abuse material (CSAM) had been downloaded to an identified IP address.
Upon further investigation, officials determined the IP address was associated with a town of Peshtigo residence occupied by Mandli. A search warrant was obtained and law enforcement seized multiple electronic devices from inside the home.
An analyst from the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation confirmed the presence of CSAM on one of the devices.
Mandli was located inside the residence at the time of the search warrant and taken into custody without incident.
