MENASHA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – St. Joseph Food Program recently broke ground at the site of their current facility in Menasha with the goal of better assisting the community when it comes to addressing food insecurity.
The food pantry will go through a large remodel that will include a donation entrance, private interview rooms and the relocation of staff offices.
St. Joe’s raised over $1.7 million in donations and pledges from local community organizations and private donors for their new facility.
The organization has been serving the Fox Valley for over 42 years by providing free, supplemental weekly nutrition to food-insecure individuals.
St. Joe’s says increased need and changes in their distribution model during the COVID-19 pandemic “necessitate a reconfiguration of the space to maximize their ability to continue serving food insecure individuals.”
