(WTAQ-WLUK) — Very humid weather is likely the next few days and scattered thunderstorms will be frequent this week.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected Monday, and they may be strong through the afternoon and evening. Scattered thunderstorms are expected Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The stormy and humid pattern could lead to excessive rainfall totals in spots this week.
Monday will be partly cloudy and humid with scattered thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon, with a high of 90. It may feel like the mid 90s at times.
The Green Bay Salvation Army is keeping tabs on the heat and will have a cooling shelter available.
“So as the weather heats up, any time the temperature is over 90 degrees Fahrenheit or the heat index is over 90 degrees Fahrenheit, we do open a cooling center at the Salvation Army Corps Center on Union Court,” explained Salvation Army director of development, Renee Main. “We’ll open up one of our lobby areas, we will have water refreshments and we also have lunch availability.”
Tuesday will be mostly sunny, hot, humid, and windy with a high of 92. It may feel like the upper 90s at times.
