MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — President Joe Biden reveals a new student loan relief plan.
During remarks Monday at Madison College, Biden said it will target those in most need of relief.
“The ability for working, middle class folks to repay their student loans has become so burdensome, a lot can’t repay it for even decades after being in school,” said President Biden.
A previous plan to send $20-thousand to all student loan borrowers was rejected by the conservative majority on U.S. Supreme Court.
The White House is hoping the new, smaller scale plan will be enacted.
