MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) – The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office reports a Milwaukee alderman was driving drunk when he suffered fatal injuries in a motorcycle crash Thursday.
56-year-old Joseph Dudzik died when his Harley-Davison slammed into some construction barriers on Milwaukee’s southwest side just before midnight Thursday. He was thrown about 75 feet, suffering serious injuries, including a significant head injury.
He wasn’t wearing a helmet and he died early Friday at a Milwaukee hospital. The Medical Examiner reports Dudzik had a blood-alcohol content level of 0.137.
Dudzik had represented the city’s 11th District on the Common Council since 2002. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
