Make it three in a row out of the All-Star break for the Milwaukee Bucks. After a pair of impressive, hard fought road victories at Minnesota and Philadelphia, the Bucks returned to Fiserv Forum and routed the Charlotte Hornets 123-85. The game was over by halftime as Milwaukee’s resurgent defense under Head Coach Doc Rivers held Charlotte scoreless for nearly 8 minutes of the second quarter and held the Hornets to 26 points total in the first half. The Bucks led by 32 at the break and sat most of their starters the rest of the way. Giannis Antetokounmpo led Milwaukee with 24 points while Damian Lillard added 23, 14 of those in the opening quarter when he buried a trio of three point shots. The Bucks held an opponent under 100 points just once while Adrian Griffin coached the first 45 games of the year. Since Rivers arrived, Milwaukee has accomplished that 4 times. Now 38-21 on the season, the Bucks get a quick re-match with the Hornets, meeting them in Charlotte on Thursday night.
