GREEN BAY (WTAQ-WLUK) — Brown County officials are asking residents to prepare for flood season.
The goal is to have community members know how to make their properties more resilient to flood and what they can do in case of a flood.
“Flooding is the most common natural disaster that we face here in Wisconsin, and so it’s important to take this threat seriously and take Mother Nature seriously,” said Brown County emergency management director, Daniel Kane.
Officials highlighted their flood resources that residents are encouraged to take a look at. Residents should also have an emergency plan and emergency kit in place now so you aren’t scrambling if you get displaced by flooding.
