KAUKAUNA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The City of Kaukauna is moving its Farmers Market from Saturdays to Wednesdays for the 2024 season.
City leaders say the move comes as a way to avoid scheduling conflict with vendors and attendees alike. The move also coincides with the Live! from Hydro Park Concert Series, which is held on Wednesdays as well. The Farmers Market will be held from 4:30-8:30 p.m., June 5 through Aug. 28, and from 4:30-7 p.m. Sept. 4 through Sept. 25. Meanwhile, Live! from Hydro Park is held across the street from 5:30-8:30 p.m, June 5 through Aug. 7.
“A lot of our area neighborhoods hold their Farmers Markets on Saturday mornings, so rather than try to compete, we decided to move our Farmers Market to Wednesdays,” Terri Vosters, community enrichment & recreation director for the City of Kaukauna, said in a statement. “It makes sense because it gives our vendors an opportunity to participate in multiple markets, while also bringing in business from our live concert series right next door.”
The 2024 Farmers Market offers attendees the chance to enjoy fresh flowers and produce, micro greens and sprouts, canned goods, artisan crafts, food trucks and more. Venders can apply beginning March 15.
