APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Police are recommending charges against a Menasha man for a November shooting in downtown Appleton.
Police are recommending Ferris Robinson, 29, be charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Police say Robinson has been in jail since mid-December when he was arrested on “numerous” warrants and felony probation violations.
The Outagamie County District Attorney’s Office has not yet filed formal charges.
The shooting took place early in the morning of Nov. 25. Police said a single shot was fired as they were arriving for a report of a large physical disturbance. One person was hospitalized with a gunshot wound. Police said they were unable to find the shooter among the people running away from the scene.
