(WTAQ-WLUK) — Ahead of Northeast Wisconsin’s upcoming winter storm, some municipalities are issuing snow emergencies and parking bans to ensure enough space for plow truck drivers.
The storm is expected to bring between five to eight inches of snow thorough Northeast Wisconsin Tuesday.
Snow will begin before sunrise on Tuesday and will be steady all day, with the heaviest snowfall likely coming Tuesday afternoon.
In some municipalities with parking bans or snow emergencies in place, vehicles could be towed at the owner’s expense if the vehicle poses a major obstacle for plowing.
The following have issued winter parking bans:
De Pere
A snow emergency will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 5 a.m. and last through Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 6 a.m. This means no parking on the streets during this time period.
Manitowoc
Overnight parking ban in effect from 1 a.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday.
