GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One of two people who surrendered was arrested after an incident on Green Bay’s east side.
Police said around 11:30 a.m., they were called to a disturbance at a home in the 1200 block of Day Street. Officers learned there was a gun in the home and it may have been mentioned during the disturbance.
The officers initially responding to the scene could not get in touch with anyone inside the house, so they called in a SWAT team and crisis negotiators.
Just as those teams were finishing setup around 2 p.m., they made announcements and two people came out of the house. Police interviewed them both, and kept a 31-year-old man in custody. Investigators say they will recommend criminal charges against him.
Police say they are not looking for anyone else.
Several roads in the area were closed during the police response.
