DE PERE, WI (WTAQ) — The City of De Pere wants to hear from you.
They’re surveying residents about housing conditions and demands in the city.
“We want to know what specific housing needs people are looking for,” said Peter Schleinz, senior planner and zoning administrator with the city of De Pere. “Are we providing enough affordable housing? Do we have enough high-end and moderate housing for what our residents are looking for?”
Among the questions the survey asks:
- What is your current housing situation?
- Does that meet your needs?
- What are the top rental issues in De Pere?
- What are the top homeowner issues in De Pere?
- What are the most important aspects you consider when moving (or staying) in De Pere?
- Are there any unique accommodations you would like to see offered in De Pere?
- Do you think De Pere’s municipal government should be involved in the housing market to assist housing goals?
The survey is being done to collect information for a two-part document. The first part is a study of De Pere’s housing and how it compares to other cities. The second part is an action plan.
