Winning design for new Fond du Lac County flag. PC: Fox 11 Online
FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A new flag will fly over government buildings in Fond du Lac County.
County leaders announced a contest to redesign the official flag earlier this year.
Sara Waldschmidt’s design was selected as the winner. The design features depictions of industry, fishing and agriculture. It is topped by a representation of the lighthouse in Fond du Lac’s Lakeside Park.
The flag is set to officially be adopted at the Aug. 15 county board meeting. It will be flown at some county-owned buildings and will be displayed in the legislative chambers where the county board meets.
