DODGE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The suspected leader of a multicounty vehicle theft ring has been arrested.
According to Dodge County authorities, the suspect was arrested last week in Fond du Lac County. Two others were previously arrested.
The suspects’ names have not been released.
Thefts of vehicles and vehicle entries in Dodge, Fond du Lac, Outagamie and Winnebago counties are believed to be connected.
In Dodge County, the thefts have mostly been in the northeastern part of the county, especially along Highway 175. All vehicles stolen from Dodge County have been found.
Authorities remind people to lock their vehicles, homes and garages at all times. Thieves tend to take the path of least resistance and bypass locked doors.
