FLORENCE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A teen involved in an industrial accident has died.
The Florence County Sheriff’s Office says emergency crews were called to Florence Hardwoods just before 7 a.m. Thursday. A caller to 911 reported that a 16-year-old boy was unresponsive. He was taken to a local hospital, then transferred to Children’s Wisconsin.
The teen died on Saturday.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was notified.
Authorities did not release the boy’s name or details of the incident.
Counselors are available at Florence High School from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday.
