ATHELSTANE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man was flown to the hospital after he crashed his ATV on the trail in Marinette County.
It happened on Forest Road 221 in the town of Athelstane, just after 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Officials say the man lost control of his ATV on a corner and went into a ditch before striking a tree. The impact of that crash ejected the man into another tree.
The driver and lone occupant of the ATV was wearing his helmet.
He was transported by ambulance before he was flown to a hospital in Green Bay for serious injuries.
