The Milwaukee Brewers managed only three hits in falling to the Los Angeles Angels 3-0 in the homestand finale at American Family Field Sunday afternoon. The Crew couldn’t finish off the sweep because the offense was quieted by Jose Suarez and the Angel bullpen. Suarez got through five innings allowing just two hits. Meanwhile Colin Rea struck out a career high 9 Angels but took the loss because of two mistakes. Gio Urshela launched a homer in the second inning and in the top of the third, L.A. superstar Shohei Ohtani lifted a massive home run to center field. It reached an apex of 162 feet, nearly scraping the roof of American Family. It was the tallest home run ever recorded since the StatsTrak service came into use in 2015. Milwaukee still took two of three on the weekend and will take an 18-10 record on the road. The Brewers trail the Pirates by a game and a half in the NL Central race will open a road trip against the Colorado Rockies in Denver Tuesday night.
