(WNFL) MADISON – It was an exciting but disappointing end for the Wisconsin Badgers last night.
The Badgers lost 63-61 to the Purdue Boilermakers at the Kohl Center in Madison. Zach Edey hit a pair of free throws with 1:45 left to put Purdue ahead to stay. Edey would finish with 17 points and 19 rebounds for Purdue. Badgers coach Greg Gard said that it’s tough wathing his guys fall short.
How tough will it be to get his team back up for Minnesota on Sunday after last night’s loss.
Max Klesmit led Wisconsin with 19 points. Chucky Hepburn had 13. The Badgers (16-13 overall, 8-11 Big Ten) take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the Big Ten regular season finale on Sunday.
