GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — The City of Green Bay continues to see an abundance of retail and residential thefts and burglaries… But there are ways to protect yourself.
Green Bay Police Chief, Chris Davis, said business owners can avoid theft by relocating frequently stolen items as far away from the front door as possible so thieves can’t grab something and quickly run off. He also warned against return fraud…
“Return fraud is where they’ll have a receipt for something, then they’ll try to return something that is actually stolen.” said Chief Davis.
To protect against residential burglaries, Davis said it’s a good idea to keep your neighborhood well lit.
“Also, know your neighbors so you know when something is out of place in your neighborhood.” said Chief Davis.
If you see something, say something. In an emergency, call 911. For non-emergency issues, you can call the Green Bay Police Department at (920)448-3200.
