WNFL – The Wisconsin Badgers flew into happy Valley for last night’s game with Penn State having won 17 of the last 18 meetings between the two teams. Make it 18-of-19 after last night’s 79-74 overtime which saw the Badgers led by Chucky Hepburn’s 19 points. Connor Essegian scored 18 and Tyler Wahl 16 for the Badgers. Badgers coach Greg Gard talked about Wahl’s performance which included 8 assists and 6 rebound.
With the Badgers recent slump, there has been considerable talk about whether or not the Badgers will get into the NCAA tournament. After the game Gard said, just chill. You have to have a complete body of work to get into the tournament.
The Badgers are now 6-7 in the Big Ten and play at Nebraska on Saturday.
