(LEARFIELD) – The NBA’s investigation of the Bucks’ deal with veteran guard Gary Trent Junior is still active.
Brew Hoop reports that the national investigations law firm Hecker Fink has been hired.
Trent played for Milwaukee on minimum contract deals for two years, then agreed on a four-year contract worth 64 million dollars – an apparent overpayment.
The investigation focuses on whether that was a cap-circumvention violation by the Bucks. The report says there has been no incriminating documentary evidence discovery, but that doesn’t mean the team won’t be penalized.
