GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A vacated school building in Green Bay is getting new life as an apartment complex.
The former Whitney School on Webster Avenue is being turned into twenty-three apartment units by Milwaukee LLC., which held a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday.
A first-floor internet cafe area, party room, work out area and a large common outdoor green area will all be featured in the new “Whitney Lofts.”
Pet-friendly options will be included and the site will present residents with a ten-minute walk to the downtown area.
The developers also want to build seventeen townhomes along the perimeter of the school property.
The project is expected to be complete later this year.
