APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – An Outagamie County woman was sentenced on Tuesday for setting a fire, which killed her brother.
Dana Nachtrab was sentenced to seven years in prison for arson and homicide by negligent handling of an explosive.
On March 12, Nachtrab started a fire at a Deer Creek home where her developmentally disabled brother, Cody, lived.
Nachtrab, her husband, and their child all escaped safely from the blaze.
Nachtrab told investigators she started the fire because she had been dealing with stress, according to the criminal complaint.
