GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – An initiative to help local families in need is now underway.
Jake’s Diapers, and the Eastern Wisconsin Diaper Bank kicked off its diaper drive Sunday.
Stephanie Bowers, Jake’s Diaper co-founder, and the executive director tells FOX 11 the goal is to collect half a million diapers for families in the greater Green Bay and Oshkosh areas.
Even more so than health issues, is trying to get families out of poverty. If you can’t afford enough diapers, your child can’t go to childcare. If your child can’t go to childcare, a caregiver can’t go to work. How are you going to get out of poverty if you can’t do those things.”
The Great CoverUp will continue until Father’s Day.
