APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The sidewalks of downtown Appleton will be filled with music.
As part of Creative Economy week, five instruments will be added to the sidewalks of College Avenue for the public to play.
The first of the five instruments, a duet xylophone, was installed near the north corner of College Ave. and Morrison St. Tuesday. The interactive art piece is made of aluminum and fiberglass.
Four flower bell musical instruments will also be installed this week: one near the Float Light Center at 609 W. College Ave., one near the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, one near The Building for Kids Children’s Museum and the fourth near Heid Music at 308 E. College Ave.
On Friday, ADI is hosting the kickoff to the Art on the Town event series from 5-8 p.m. with student art displayed at 21 downtown businesses.
