GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – A man convicted for injecting heroin prior to a car crash in Ashwaubenon has been sentenced.
On Friday, Jessie House was sentenced to eight months in jail after he was arrested for crashing his vehicle on January 28.
Earlier this week, he pleaded guilty to negligent operation of a vehicle and possession of narcotic drugs.
Court records show that a count of driving without a valid license was dismissed and that House was also placed on probation for three years and must undergo drug treatment.
Molly Schlichting, his passenger, returns to court on June 25 for a status conference.
According to the Ashwaubenon Public Safety Department, the two were driving on Ashland Avenue while taking the drug and crashed into a snow bank.
House was not breathing and needed a drug antidote to be revived, while Schlichting also required medical attention.
No one else was injured in the accident.
