GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – There’s a new area at Lambeau Field for fans to come together and cheer on the Packers this year.
The 6,000 square-foot, climate-controlled, U.S. Cellular Loft is located on the upper concourse level.
According to Packers Chief Operating Officer Ed Policy, fans are getting younger and want more spaces to connect
“Sports are social and the fan experience is best when it’s shared with others,” says Policy.
He says fans are engaging on game day in a different manner, meaning that Lambeau Field has to adjust as well.
“It means that sometimes we have to innovate, we have to improve, and sometimes we even have to evolve this building,” he explains.
The space includes a full bar, numerous televisions, tables, chairs, and stationary charging stations.
“This climate-controlled space is going to provide a comfortable gathering spot, no matter what seats you’re in and no matter what the weather is outside,” explains Policy. “People can come together.”
The team says that their partnership with U.S. Cellular is vital in shaping the overall game experience in the mobile age.
The area will feature a Connection Corner with a “Charge at No Charge” program.
“In addition, you’ll be able to check out a portable device and take it back to your seat so you don’t miss a minute of the game,” explains Andy Schlingman, U.S. Cellular director of sales.
U.S. Cellular became the Official Wireless Partner of the Green Bay Packers in 2018.
“U.S. Cellular has joined us offering new amenities and incorporating technology at Lambeau Field on game day and every day,” says Policy.
Three unique selfie stations are located inside the loft.
Also, keep an eye out for Packers alumni, who will make an appearance at the area every gameday to sign autographs prior to kickoff.
