GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – U.S. Cellular has upgraded the wireless network at Lambeau Field to handle big game day crowds.
The company, which is the Green Bay Packers’ official wireless partner, says the renovated network will improve connections for both U.S. Cellular customers and fans whose phones roam on the network.
“This new network system supports a large concentration of people in one area, so Packers fans at the game can keep in touch with family and friends, as well as post updates and photos to their social networks while enjoying the game,” Jared Blecha, U.S. Cellular director of sales in Wisconsin and northern Illinois, said in a news release.
The network upgrades come on the heels of the opening of the U.S. Cellular Loft on Lambeau Field’s upper concourse level.
Fans can charge their devices, check out portable chargers to use at their seats and visit selfie stations.
