ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Thursday’s Packers game against the Philadelphia Eagles is Lambeau Field’s third in just 11 days.
The front-loaded home schedule has the fans busy. They celebrated a big win just three days ago, on Sunday, and are already gearing up for another home game Thursday.
“I think there might be a little Packer fatigue maybe with people wanting to go to games that are local,” said Travis Loftus the manager at Ticket King in Ashwaubenon.
Words no fan ever thought they’d hear. Especially since the Packers are 3 – 0. But ticket prices for Thursday’s game are down.
“I would expect them to be a little higher. It’s a little odd, to be honest with you,” said Travis.
Travis Loftus with Ticket King in Ashwaubenon says tickets are usually cheaper for Thursday and Monday night games, but the drop he’s seeing might have to do with this being the Packers front-loaded schedule.
“The sales for the Eagles game has been good early on. I mean, it’s a good team that’s coming in here and their fans travel pretty well, but they bought their tickets ahead of time,” said Loftus.
All of these games mean one thing for some local businesses.
“Chaos,” said Amanda Watson, Stadium View owner.
It has been non-stop for Stadium View Bar and Grille just down the road from Lambeau Field.
“Three home games and 4 concerts in 14 days. Our staff is still here with us… it’s been awesome though,” said Watson.
While they’re in the home stretch, owner Amanda Watson says Thursday games are much calmer.
“Thursday night football is still a fun thing to go through but it’s nowhere near what we go through for Sunday Games,” said Watson.
