FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) – Fond du Lac Police and the Lake Winnebago Area MEG Unit simultaneously served three search warrants Thursday morning.
Officers converged on three units at the Maplewood Commons Apartment Complex following an investigation into illegal drug activity in the area.
A 28-year old woman was arrested for possession with intent to distribute meth and maintaining a drug trafficking place. Marijuana, digital scales, and other drug paraphernalia were also recovered.
Fond du Lac Police Chief Bill Lamb released a statement saying “The Fond du Lac Police Department will continue to aggressively investigate and arrest those individuals who choose to deal illegal drugs in our community. We will not tolerate those who disrupt the peace and safety of our neighborhoods through illegal drug activity. All of our residents in the City have the right to feel secure in their homes and neighborhoods without the scourge of those involved in criminal activity.”
Police say additional arrests are expected in connection with this case.
